Privacy Policy
Precision Wellbeing | Tamara O'Dwyer · Last updated: 28 September 2026
Precision Wellbeing is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information, including health information, when you enrol in and participate in the Empowered Prevention course in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and, where applicable, the Health Information Privacy Code 2020 (HIPC).
1. What Information We Collect
We collect the following types of personal information:
● Contact and account details: name, email address, and any other details provided at enrolment (e.g. via our checkout or course platform).
● Payment information: processed by our payment provider — we do not directly store full card details.
● Course activity: progress through modules and lessons, login activity, and completion data.
● Community content: anything you post, comment, or share within the community space.
● Communications: emails, messages, or conversations you have with us, including support requests and any 1:1 discussions.
We do not ask you to provide health information as part of enrolling in or completing the Course. However, if you choose to share health related information, for example, in the community, or in a 1:1 conversation with Tamara, we will hold and handle that information in accordance with Section 8 below.
2. Why We Collect It
We use your information to:
● provide access to the Course and its content
● deliver your login details and track your progress
● communicate with you about the Course, including bonus content and updates
● provide support when you have questions or run into issues
● moderate and maintain the community space
● meet our legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations
● improve the Course based on aggregated, de-identified feedback and engagement patterns
Health information you share is used only to support your experience of the Course (for example, responding to a question you raise) never sold, and never used for purposes unrelated to your participation.
3. How We Collect It
We collect information directly from you, when you enrol, complete course activities, post in the community, or contact us for support. We do not collect information about you from third parties except where necessary to process payment or verify enrolment.
4. Who We Share It With
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information with:
● Service providers who help us run the Course and business — for example, our course hosting platform, email provider, payment processor, and community platform. These providers only receive what they need to perform their function, and are contractually required to protect it appropriately.
● Legal or regulatory bodies, where required by law.
We do not share your health information, community posts, or personal circumstances with any other participant, sponsor, or third party for marketing or unrelated commercial purposes.
5. Storage and Overseas Transfer
Some of the platforms we use to deliver the Course (such as our hosting, email, or community tools) may store information on servers located outside New Zealand. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information receives comparable privacy protections to those required under the Privacy Act 2020, consistent with Information Privacy Principle 12 (IPP 12). This may include using providers based in countries with recognised privacy frameworks, or providers contractually bound to equivalent protections.
6. How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain your personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy — including your 12-week course access period, any legal or accounting requirements (such as tax record-keeping), and responding to support requests. Community posts may remain visible within the community for longer, unless you request removal.
7. Your Rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:
● ask us what personal information we hold about you
● request a copy of that information
● ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date
● ask us to delete information we no longer need to hold (subject to legal retention requirements)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected] We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information and are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
8. Health Information
We do not collect health information as a standard part of the Course. However, participants sometimes voluntarily share health-related details — for example, in the community space, or in a 1:1 conversation with Tamara — when discussing their own circumstances.
Where this happens, we treat that information in accordance with the Health Information Privacy Code 2020. This means:
● we only use it for the purpose it was shared with us (for example, to support you personally, or to respond to something you've raised)
● we do not disclose it to any third party without your consent, except where required by law or necessary to prevent a serious threat to your health or safety, or someone else's
● we take reasonable care with how it is stored and who can access it
● you may ask us at any time what health-related information we hold about you, and request that it be corrected or deleted, subject to any legal requirement that we retain it
Please note that anything shared in the community is visible to other participants (and, where applicable, moderators) — see Section 9 below, and please only share what you're comfortable with others seeing.
9. Community Space
Anything you choose to post in the community is visible to other participants and, where applicable, to Tamara O'Dwyer. Please only share what you're comfortable with others seeing — see our Terms and Conditions for community guidelines, including expectations around confidentiality and respect for other members.
10. Cookies and Website Data
Our website and course platform may use cookies or similar tracking technologies to support login sessions, remember preferences, and understand general usage patterns. You can control cookie settings through your browser.
11. Children
The Course is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. The version in effect at the time you use the Course will apply. We encourage you to review it periodically.
